Discrepancies

In the first book of the series "A Song of Ice and Fire", people like Robb, Jon, Danny, and Rodric are all older than their book selves.  In the show Danny and Viserys looked like twins, but in the book Danni is like thirteen. And after Khal and Danny get married, HBO made it look like she was getting raped and made Khal an unlikable character. But the book shows that Danni wanted him in her and he wouldn't have done it without her consent.
I loved how the show was able to incorporate direct quotes from the book. It made my spine tingle, because I already knew that.
And after the Lannister men find Arya and Eddard killed Lady, he had her taken to Winterfell so that Cersei couldn't have her fur. All the little things the characters do make me love them and find them more credible. For example, I have come to loathe Jamie and all Lannisters more because of how is presented in the books. The Lannisters are an untrustworthy house, because they came to where the mad king was and he presumed them to help him in his hour of need but that wasn't the Lannisters true intentions. Jamie killed the King, a man he took an oath to protect and then Robert the new king made Jamie a part of his Kings guard. I also feel that Jamie killed the former Hand of the King, John Arryn, for asking questions. And then pushing the seven year old Bran off the tower and then sending a man to kill him in his sleep. Jamie Lannister is a ruthless man who has no honor and integrity, even if he looks like Prince Charming from all the Sherk movies.
Catelyn is unlikable in both the book and the show for her rudeness towards Jon Snow. But the she did add her story of praying Jon died and then praying that he lived and promising to do good by him.
